Welcome to the class page for the course Management and of Resources and Finance at St. Thomas Aquinas College. Make up Work for Saturday, February 5, 2011
1. Read the two articles from the Atlantic posted below.
2. In a concise analysis, respond to the following questions about the articles: What role will education play in leading America throught the 21st century? How can educational leaders maximize resources to improve schools?
3. From your reading of "What Matters for Staying On-Track" below, what are the three most important concepts you would need to think about/apply as a building leader?
  • Submit each assignment via email by Friday, February 11, 2011.

Work for the Week of January 15, 2011
1. Complete the SMART goal assignment from class on January 15th
2. Work on the proposal and financial plan that corresponds to your action research project
3. View President Obama's inauguration address (on link below). What does he define as "the price and promise of citizenship." How does his speech relate to course themes (i.e. responsibilities of leaders, financial prudence, leaders as change agents, etc.) What ideas did you learn that could be incorporated into the field of education or educational leadership?
4. Read the Payne article and participate on the discussion board
5. Read Chapter Five of Brimley
